This collection of thirteen Peabody & Sherman unreleased genre-fluid tracks*, recorded between 2002-2018 are diverse explorations of dub, Latin, funk, downtempo, soul, chillout, jazz explorations and electronic grooves. These include remixes of Captain Planet’s “Get You Some” and Sahaja’s “Seven Reasons”, plus an Enigma Device track – a Peabody & Sherman collaboration. The album features guest performances by Steve Fisk (Pell Mell, Pigeonhed, Producer for Nirvana, Screaming Trees, Posies, Afghan Whigs ), Jeff Parker (Tortoise, Isotope 147), Bernd Jestram (Tar Water), Grazyna Auguscik (named Best Jazz Vocalist by the European magazine Jazz Forum in 2002, 2003, 2004, and 2006), Antye Greie (AGF), Whitney Johnson (Matchess) and more.
Peabody & Sherman is Chicago-based production team comprised of the late Phillip Hertz (drummer in Tiny Holes, Paris Working, The Scientists; label owner, record distributor) and Curtis Ruptash (bassist/producer in recording acts BassKase, Guerilla Welfare, Pretty Rough, Subtle Hints, Frostback, Razorhouse, Black Friars Social Club and Marrow Thieves) Since 2002, Peabody & Sherman have released over 15 EPs and 7” singles, drawing strong support from Europe, Japan and the US.
